The Eggshell Queen
This was my first attempt at creating a completely digital ATC. Using Microsoft Image Pro 9, I added an eggshell filter to the image. Then I added the crown, the heart, and the words and she was finished. It is very simplistic compared to some digital art I have seen in the Yahoo groups, but I'm pretty happy with her. The quote is pretty self-explanatory I think...Let me know if you would like a copy or would like to trade a copy of one of your ATC's for her! I love trading!

Hello. Thanks for letting me know about the artwork. I really enjoy looking at it all!

ATC's are Artist Trading Cards. They are the size of baseball cards (2 1/2" x 3 1/2") and can be done in any medium: painting, collage, decopague, etc. The main thing about them is that they are traded between artists for free or given away to friends - never sold. It's a way to share art with other people because you love art.

A good site to check out different styles is: http://www.artist-trading-cards.ch/about.htm. The gallery holds many, many different examples of them. There are also many groups in Yahoo and MSN for people to join to share their artwork online. One is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Collagecats/. There are some very talented and supportive artists in this group. Very inspiring!

Doing art on photo shop is interesting. I'd like to learn how to do little movies with the images and music. But my favorite form of creating atc's is with mixed media collage - paper, glue, embellishments (charms, shells, etc). There's nothing like the sticky feeling of glue on your fingers at 3:00 in the morning!

Thank you again for letting me know about the artwork/movies for the site. I'll look forward to rummaging though them again.

Have a great day,

Tamara
